Maintenance Department Sales and Operations Manager
My client is a leading provider of industrial and commercial solutions who serve a range of clients across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Maintenance Department Sales and Operations Manager to join their team based in Portadown.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position.
Working hours: 38 hours
Salary negotiable £30,000 (+commission)
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in sales and operations management, preferably within the maintenance and construction.
- Knowledge of CRM and Project Management software.
- Strong understanding of product specifications, quoting, and tendering processes.
- Experience in managing teams and scheduling project work.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships, particularly in high-value contracts.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to deadlines.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license (company vehicle provided for travel between sites and client visits).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gain a strong understanding of the products and services.
- Find new clients and markets to help grow the business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Visit clients to conduct site surveys must be competent in measuring and estimating.
- Keep track of leads, quotes, and projects using the company’s CRM system.
- Regularly report on sales progress and business development activities.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and measure-ups to prepare accurate quotations.
- Monitor and review tendering portals for relevant opportunities and submit competitive tenders.
- Produce quotes in line with the company's target profit margins and track their progress through to completion.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of approved quotes, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Manage engineers work schedules to optimize productivity.
- Oversee the ordering of parts and materials required for projects, ensuring stock availability before work begins.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, managing all aspects of the process, from initial order to final delivery.
- Efficiently utilize service department staff to ensure seamless operation and exceptional service delivery.
