Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

We are seeking a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to oversee and manage our organisation’s quality assurance and control processes. This role involves implementing, managing, and improving our quality management systems, conducting audits, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with our management team to develop innovative policies and procedures, ensuring our Extrusion Centre of Excellence leads in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Management.

Day-to-day of the role:

As Quality Manager:

  • Provide leadership and development to maximise the effectiveness of the Quality System.
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture addressing root cause analysis of customer complaints and leading change to enhance customer complaints management.
  • Implement the SPC continuous improvement process to reduce non-conformances and achieve business goals.
  • Communicate strategy, obligations, and behaviours throughout the organisation at all levels.
  • Analyse and evaluate system performance to identify corrective actions.
  • Audit, monitor, and review QHSE for legislative compliance and standards approval (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 18001 / ISO 37301).
  • Report on the progress of projects, quantifying benefits and costs.

As Health, Safety & Environment Manager:

  • Develop and implement robust health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage health & safety audit and surveillance structure to ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with teams to establish safety goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
  • Provide expert advice on health and safety matters, focusing on accident prevention and hazard identification.
  • Lead incident investigations, determine corrective actions, and implement preventive measures.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to health and safety activities and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 7 Diploma/Degree in a relevant field.
  • Industrial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Recognised quality management accreditation.
  • Background in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 6-Sigma).
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Methodical, analytical, and enthusiastic approach to work with keen attention to detail.
