We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, who will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production and plant equipment.


Working hours are Monday to Friday 7.00 am - 3.00 pm with a starting salary up to £35,000. Additional overtime, when available, is paid at x1.5 rate.


We are looking for candidates with Multi-skilled experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting.


Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer


Hours:Monday to Friday 7.00 am 15.00 pm

Location:Moira, Co. Armagh, with occasional travel to other sites across the UK and Ireland

Salary:Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications

Start Date: 21st October2024

Contract:Full Time / Permanent


Main Roles and Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Maintenance Manager:


  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspection of all machinery and equipment
  • Carry out reactive maintenance, responding to breakdowns by fault finding and repairing mechanical and/or electrical faults to ensure production levels are maintained
  • Installation of new machinery and equipment
  • Refurbishment of machinery and equipment
  • Modification or upgrade of machines to minimise downtime and improve production
  • Inspection and repair of moulding tools (incl Mig/Tig welding)
  • In-house fabrication (incl Mig/Tig welding)
  • General maintenance of the site
  • Ensure timely and accurate records are completed for all maintenance work carried out
  • Operation of hand and power tools
  • Operation of company forklifts and MEWPs (training provided)
  • Operation of overhead cranes (training provided)


Essential Criteria:


  • Timed served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer Apprenticeship with NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in mechanical / electrical fault finding in a high-volume process manufacturing environment
  • Ability to apply engineering principles in a practical application
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
