Warehouse Operative

My client based in Portadown urgently requires a Warehouse Operative to join their team.

This is a full time, temporary position. The position has the potential to be extended for the right person.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-4.30pm

With an hourly rate of £12.50.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Picking customer orders for despatch to achieve “Right First Time” targets
  • Unloading and loading vehicles via mechanical & manual handling
  • Packing orders for handover to installation & aftercare teams
  • Taking delivery of goods in and carrying out quality control checks
  • Organising the location of goods and moving stock around by hand
  • Contact suppliers for stock shortages and delivery date queries
  • Keeping records of stock & paperwork up to date
  • Prepare any defective items for return to suppliers for credits
  • Maintaining a safe working environment of the stores and waste disposal areas on a daily basis
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements including the provision of protective clothing like overalls and safety shoes 
  • Any other duties reasonably required

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role.
