Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join them on a permanent basis.

The Job youll do

  • Complete the effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities, with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM procedures.
  • Install and/or modifying equipment as required.
  • Complete a root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence. prevention plans using tools such as major breakdown reports.
  • Work as part of a maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required.
  • Operate access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers.
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of apprentices.

About You

  • To apply, we are looking for someone who has experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment and have mechanical background.
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings is essential and having knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred.
  • If you are proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues, have excellent communication skills, this role could be ideal for you.
  • We ask that you will work in a safe manner; drive positive behaviour and lead by example with regard to the companys health, safety and environmental policies.
  • This position will be on a full time, permanent basis.
  • Working hours are an average of 37.5 hours per week on a shift rotation, which involves 10 x 12 hour shifts over a 21-day cycle with 11 days off.
