- We are seeking a PART TIME QHSE Advisor for a sealing specialist business in Northumberland on a permanent basis.
- The salary for this role is up to £50,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
- The position requires 3 days of work per week and involves some travel within the UK to visit suppliers and clients.
- Candidates should possess an occupational health and safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate, along with relevant experience in health and safety leadership.
- Experience with ISO management systems, particularly ISO 45001, is preferred, along with strong communication skills to foster a positive HSE culture.
The QHSE Advisor can expect to receive a salary up to £50,000 pro rata depending on experience.
The role is predominantly office based, however some travel within the UK, to visit suppliers, clients and installation sites. A Driving licence and own vehicle is essential. This is a PART TIME position 3 days per week.
Purpose of QHSE Advisor:
To work with company personnel to implement and maintain arrangements for compliance with health, safety and environmental legal and other requirements, including international management standards such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, and other national, industry sector or client compliance requirements.
Knowledge and Experience:
Occupational health and safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate.
Qualifications for working with the ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001 management standards, such as auditor training would be advantageous.
Experience of leadership in health and safety, ideally but not necessarily in construction or manufacturing.
Experience of conducting workplace health and safety risk assessments.
Experience of working with ISO management systems, especially ISO45001.
Well-developed communication skills, both informal and in structured settings such as health and safety committees and training, with the ability to effectively engage and develop a positive HSE culture across the business.
Commercially aware, with customer facing experience.
Experience of working in or with larger corporations, and their business processes would be advantageous.
There is already a high degree of operational discipline within the business, so although this is a broad role, it may be possible for a jobholder with the right knowledge and experience.
