Draughtsperson - Cramlington

Permanent-To 35k + package depending on experience

Our client specialises in the repair and manufacture of metal bearings, seals, deflectors, and other rotating equipment, dedicated to providing a superior aftermarket service, optimising the performance of their client's machines.
They have manufacturing facilities located in the UK, USA, Poland and UAE, offering an expansive range of products.
Using specialist bearing performance prediction software, their engineers perform comprehensive evaluations of all types of hydro-dynamically lubricated fluid film ..
The company has several dedicated service centres, serving five continents, allowing them to provide expert field service anywhere in the world.

Job Purpose: The Draughtsperson is responsible for creating manufacture drawings of bearings and other gas turbine parts in accordance with customer specifications.

Draughtsperson Responsibilities:
* Ensure that relevant drawings and information are available for other departments to facilitate in the production of required parts.
* Use the company's 3D design software to produce the engineering drawings.
* Extracting information from supplied drawing to prepare basic engineering drawings.
* Reverse engineer of existing products, using available inspection equipment.
* Provide engineering design support for products in the company's product lines, including but not limited to bearings, seals, fuel system components and technical training in accordance with customer requirements.
* Assist in the inspection department.
* To ensure all work/tasks/procedures/documentation meet the requirements of ISO 9001.


Draughtsperson Knowledge, Skills, Education, Training and Experience:
* Must be educated in a Mechanical Engineering field.
* Must have a good engineering understanding and awareness, with the drive to enhance their engineering knowledge.
* Competent in the use of 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks).
* Must be able to use measuring equipment.
* Planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure objectives and deadlines are met.
* Excellent written and verbal skills are required.
* Must have proven team working skills.
* IT Literate; Good working knowledge of Microsoft office, and ideally with SolidWorks.
