Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with Quanta EPC, which delivers engineering, procurement, and construction services to the energy sector. They are looking to bring an experienced E&I Engineer, as they are entering an exciting phase of growth following recent investment.Â
This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Cramlington.
E&I Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Provide electrical assistance to the Lead E&I Engineer.
- Engineer all design work in line with the QA manual, appropriate codes of practice and the Client’s procedures.
- Provide expert ‘know how’ of Electrical engineering as input to conceptual and FEED engineering as well as detailed design.
- Liaise with client electrical representatives to establish technical direction where not provided by codes and standards.
- Prepare cost, time and resource requirement estimates for nominated projects, proposals or changes in work scope.
- Provide advice and guidance on hazardous area installations including ATEX directives.
- Identify and verify any improvements and cost saving measures on the projects.
- Provide timely and accurate electrical progress measurement data and reporting to each project controller or project engineer.         Â
- Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.
- Close liaison with all the electrical engineers on the contract to ensure that delivery dates are met.
- Prepare, Improve and develop company standards and design methods.
- Ensure that all work/installation schemes for both onshore & offshore scope are designed to be carried out in a safe manner.
E&I Engineer Key Requirements:
- Degree or HNC in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Demonstrable experience in multi discipline projects in the oil & gas sector with sound technical background and wide-ranging expertise.
- Experience reviewing designs coming from external design houses.
