We are looking for a Facilities Electrician to join our team in Cramlington to undertake planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities on equipment, tools and facilities across the whole site. You'll be doing permanent dayshift Monday to Fricay.
What you鈥檒l be doing
聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Responsible for ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Completion of effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM procedures
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Maintenance of Manufacturing facilities (including PAT Testing, Testing and Maintenance of Emergency Lighting Systems, Fire Alarm Testing, CCTV Systems, Network Cabling and Small Fixed Wiring Installation Projects and Repairs)
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Installation and/or modification of manufacturing equipment as required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence prevention plans using tools such as Major Breakdown Reports
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Work as part of a manufacturing and facilities maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Assisting with the training and mentoring of apprentices
Who we鈥檙e looking for
聽
To apply, we are looking for someone who has an electrical background, has experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment ideally with a good working knowledge of PLCs. 17th or 18th Edition preferred but not essential. Experience of both 3-phase and single-phase low voltage electrical distribution systems, installations & machines is also essential.
