LGV Test Centre Manager

Cramlington

Salary: 45,000 - 50,000

Hours: Mon-Fri 07:00-16:00

We are seeking an experienced LGV Test Centre Manager to join our team in Cramlington. Reporting directly to the Logistics Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operation of our test centre and workshop.

Key Responsibilities
* Workshop Management: Lead the daily operations, ensuring high levels of efficiency and productivity in the servicing and repair of LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.
* Business Development & Sales: Drive growth through strategic business development and effective sales initiatives.
* Budget & Cost Control: Manage budgets and control costs, ensuring financial efficiency.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous health and safety standards within the workshop.
* Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring effective fleet maintenance.
* Workload Planning: Plan and schedule workloads, including managing the ATF lane.
* Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing on parts.
* Invoicing Systems: Oversee and ensure the effective operation of invoicing systems.

Qualifications & Experience
* Commercial Experience: Proven track record in business development and sales.
* Managerial Experience: Previous experience managing a workshop, particularly with LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.
* Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership and management abilities.
* Communication Skills: Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills.
* IT Skills: Proficient in IT, with the ability to manage invoicing and other digital systems.
* Preferred: Category C or C&E driving license (preferred but not mandatory).
