Our client, a leading manufacturer, is looking for a HR Generalist to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you'll manage a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management, and maintaining accurate HR records. You will support managers with policy implementation, performance management, and ensure compliance with employment legislation. About the role:

  • Meetings: Record minutes for union meetings, pay reviews, and disciplinary hearings.
  • Absence Control: Monitor and analyse trends, report statistics, and support line managers in absence management.
  • Data & Systems: Implement Power BI, manage T&A and personnel systems, and maintain accurate HR records.
  • Projects & Events: Support GDPR initiatives, community events, strategic HR projects, and wellbeing campaigns.
  • Onboarding: Manage and deliver induction programmes.
  • Recruitment Support: Advise on hiring strategies, participate in selection, and conduct employment checks.
  • Policy Management: Ensure accurate application of policies to meet legislative requirements and advise line management.
About you:
  • HR Expertise: Generalist experience in fast-paced environments with strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation. Degree educated with CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Data & Analysis: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high accuracy in work.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills; persuasive, diplomatic, and confident in engaging with employees at all levels.
