LGV Test Centre Manager

CramlingtonSalary: £43,000 - £48,000Hours: 07:00-16:30 (week 1) and then 09:30-19:00 and Saturday morning (week 2)We are seeking an experienced LGV Test Centre Manager to join our team in Cramlington. Reporting directly to the Logistics Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operation of our test centre and workshop.Key Responsibilities* Workshop Management: Lead the daily operations, ensuring high levels of efficiency and productivity in the servicing and repair of LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.* Business Development & Sales: Drive growth through strategic business development and effective sales initiatives.* Budget & Cost Control: Manage budgets and control costs, ensuring financial efficiency.* Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous health and safety standards within the workshop.* Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring effective fleet maintenance.* Workload Planning: Plan and schedule workloads, including managing the ATF lane.* Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing on parts.* Invoicing Systems: Oversee and ensure the effective operation of invoicing systems.Qualifications & Experience* Commercial Experience: Proven track record in business development and sales.* Managerial Experience: Previous experience managing a workshop, particularly with LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.* Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership and management abilities.* Communication Skills: Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills.* IT Skills: Proficient in IT, with the ability to manage invoicing and other digital systems.* Preferred: Category C or C&E driving license (preferred but not mandatory).We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and ready to lead a dynamic team.
