We have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join a leading manufacturing business at their site in Cramlington. IN this role you will be supporting the Director of Operations in having an effective Operations function ensuring best best practice policies and procedures and instilling the ethos throughout the business.Key responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the full remit of PPD, Warehousing and Manufacturing in the UK operation.• Work closely with the Director of Operations on short to medium term Business Planning and Budgeting.• Line management of Warehouse operators and Team Leader• Manage Learning & Development actions for the team• Understand, implement and maintain efficient outbound logistics techniques, working on a strategic level with other departments to forecast and future proof operations.• Take responsibility for process to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.• Produce management information to demonstrate performance against KPIs, encompassing both operational and financial performance targets.• Monitor daily performance and to ensure that daily and weekly performance targets are met.• Manage resource planning and allocation to ensure production targets are met in a planned and efficient manner.• Pro-actively communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure all parties are kept informed of day-to-day operations.• Play a key role in managing the commercial performance of the operations of the business, including ensuring projects are correctly managed, and costs are controlled and monitored.• Ensure that all Health and Safety Regulations are always complied with by everyone on site, working closely with the EH&S Lead.• Implement and ensure all Company operating procedures are followed in relation to the work being carried out.• Ensure that Company Security requirements are always maintained.• Ad hoc travel to the Hamburg, Germany facilityRequirements: • Experience of leading a busy PPD / manufacturing /Ops environment• Proven track record of leading and managing a team and driving operational efficiencies• Experience of lean manufacturing methodologies• Able to analyse and apply financial reporting information to drive efficiencies• Understanding of costing systems and the ability to make decisions based upon the results.• Change management experience bringing improvements in performance• Team Management and strong leadership capability• Customer focused approach• High attention to detail• Proficient Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)• Positive, problem-solving attitude with decision making qualities• Working to deadlines and under pressurePerks, Benefits & more:
