The Joint Integrity Operations Managers role involves overseeing commercial trading operations, managing P&L performance, and leading a team of professionals delivering 24/7 maintenance and support services in a high-demand industry. The Joint Integrity Operations Managers role also includes mentoring and coaching team members to develop their skills, managing procurement spend efficiently, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Project management expertise and a strong background in the UK onshore oil, gas, and refinery market are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Commercial and Financial Management
- Accountable for the Joint Integrity Operations' commercial performance, including managing P&L to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Ensure robust budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control across all operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation while maintaining service excellence.
- Lead procurement activities, managing supply chain agreements for cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Operational Leadership
- Lead, manage, and develop the Joint Integrity Operations Team, ensuring optimal utilisation and performance.
- Develop and implement efficient work practices to enhance value and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise resource allocation and operational synergy.
- Oversee the implementation of WSGs management system to ensure compliance with company standards, laws, and regulations.
- Champion HSE best practices across all operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for all projects.
- Investigate and report incidents, identifying opportunities for improvement
Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing timely feedback and reports on service delivery.
- Deliver after-sales support, including energy-saving solutions and system upgrades.
- Offer insights on future product development and market needs.
Mentoring and Development
- The Joint Integrity Operations Manager has responsibility for mentoring and coaching direct reports, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Conduct appraisals, manage training needs, and oversee health and safety compliance.
- Inspire the team by setting high standards and leading by example.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Proven track record of managing P&L with demonstrated financial acumen.
- Strong knowledge of joint integrity-related equipment and TMJI training requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of Joint Integrity, Flange Management, On Site Machining and associated industry standards.
- Experience in the use of and implementation of Joint Integrity software.
- Extensive experience working within the UK onshore oil, gas, and refinery sectors.
- Proficient in managing procurement processes and supply chain performance.
- Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication abilities.
- Health and safety qualification and a clean driving license.
Desirable
- 10+ years of field-based service engineering experience and 5+ years in managerial roles.
- Project management skills with a history of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
- Established industry contacts within the pipeline systems and related equipment sectors.
