An expanding company in the Blyth area is looking for a Production Test Technician with experience of mechanical assembly and inspection measurement tools

The main responsibilities of the Production / Test Technician role are: -

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical components and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment
  • Generate detailed initial inspection reports for the engineering team
  • Rebuild and test products/components in accordance with OEM specification and company procedures
  • Generate detailed rebuild & test reports and final inspection reports
  • Use specialist test rigs such as airflow, liquid fuel, compressor, hydraulic, flow divider, drive bench/ pump
  • Use inspection equipment such as micrometers, vernier's and bore gauges to measure components
  • Maintain the production equipment and machinery
  • Prepare jobs for shipment, including painting, packing and providing weights & dimensions to the office to arrange shipment; including subcontract shipments to suppliers
  • Receive and grid incoming RMAs, checking and recording part numbers, serial numbers, damage, missing parts etc.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

YOUR SKILLS

The successful candidate will need a NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and have experience using verniers and micrometres. Experience of Mechanical Assembly is also needed.
