My client is looking for a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join their team in Cramlington on a 6 month contract.

Job Description: As a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and visitors. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Analyze HSE data and trends to develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate and conduct HSE training sessions for employees and contractors.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop risk management strategies.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of HSE activities.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH certification is required.
  • A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
