Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager (Projects) to join our team. This role focuses on managing and growing client relationships, achieving sales targets, and maximizing revenue potential for engineered project work packages. These projects may include FEED studies, detailed design, and change-of-use initiatives, with contract values ranging from 100k to 2m and delivery horizons typically exceeding three months.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the energy sector, including utilities, oil & gas, power, and renewables and a strong background in working with EPC providers in engineering and design environments. Familiarity with Gas Turbine Auxiliary Equipment is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining day-to-day relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.

Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets with assigned clients.

Identify and capitalize on revenue growth opportunities within existing accounts.

Project Sales:

Focus on discrete packages of work forming engineered projects (e.g., FEED studies, detailed design, and change-of-use projects).

Work closely with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs and expectations.

Ensure successful project implementation by understanding the basics of project management, particularly during the project execution phase.

Business Development:

Identify and pursue new opportunities within specific market sectors or among potential clients.

Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities aligned with business goals.

Quotations and Bids:

Compile and deliver detailed and accurate quotations and bids for prospective projects.

Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure bids are competitive and aligned with company capabilities.

CRM Management:

Use CRM systems to manage client data, track sales activities, and generate reports.

Ensure data accuracy and leverage CRM insights to inform sales strategies.

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal engineering and design teams to ensure alignment between client needs and project delivery capabilities.

Liaise with project management teams to provide seamless transitions from sales to implementation.

Key Qualifications:

HND/Degree in Engineering

Proven experience in sales and client relationship management within the energy sector (utilities, oil & gas, power, etc.).

Background in working with EPC providers, with a strong emphasis on engineering and design.

Familiarity with Gas Turbine Auxiliary Equipment is desirable but not essential.

Proficient in using CRM systems for sales tracking and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to compile and deliver quotations and bids for projects.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.

Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
