Starting Salary: £27,500

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 42.5 Hours 

Our reputable Plastics client are currently seeking an experienced Branch Manager to join their team.  This position is an integral role to lead and manage the branch, maximising on sales opportunities and delivering excellent customer service across the branch.

Main Responsibilities of the Sales Executive     

  • Accountable for the financial and non-financial performance of your branch.
  • Proactively implementing the agreed company strategy for your branch.
  • Supporting and coaching direct reports to take responsibility for their daily performance.
  • Supporting and coaching direct reports to implement sales strategies to achieve sales & gross profit targets while also improving customer loyalty.
  • Protecting and growing the brand awareness of the company in the marketplace.
  • Reporting on the progress of implementing agreed initiatives and the on-going performance against agreed targets.
  • Ensuring your branch operates to the highest Health and Safety Standards and regulations.

Experience and Skills required

  • A proven and successful track record managing a builders merchants branch
  • A good knowledge of the building trade and associated products.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing sales strategies that grow sales and gross profit performance while also finding ways to be more cost efficient to improve the contribution from your trade counter.
  • Strong ability to develop and nurture relationships with key suppliers and customers alike.
  • Experience dealing with a broad cross section of customer types such as trade, retail, house builders, contractors, local authorities etc.
  • Natural leadership skills that your colleagues respect and want to follow.
  • The ability to recruit the right people for the right position with the added potential to grow into their next role.
  • Knowledge of using SAP system
