SEND Teaching AssistantSEND School - Ashford, KentImmediate Start(s) available£100.00 p/day

We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant for an SEND school in the Ashford area. The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will have experience working with SEND or SEMH students in some capacity.  You will ideally be a TA, LSA or Support Worker with SEND experience who will be responsible for providing support to children in a school environment.As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will support students in lesson, accompany them in outdoor learning activities and work with them to develop academic and behavioural excellence. You will be required to engage your learners in their lessons whilst caring for their emotional and pastoral needs.

Your responsibilities as a SEND Teaching Assistant will include:

  • Providing support for learners both in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting with maintaining a safe and positive environment throughout the school
  • Being alert to any safeguarding or pastoral concerns
  • Helping classroom teachers to deliver a first class education
  • Understand SEND, primarily Autism and ADHD, and SEMH needs
