Are you based in Kent and looking for local opportunities? Do you have experience in the Travel Industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Reservation Executive to join a lovely / independent travel company (on an initial 12-month contract).

Working in a small, dynamic, team you will be required to take on the role of a travel concierge, listening to customers and using your personal and professional travel experience to advise and recommend suitable travel arrangements to meet their preferable requirements. You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, organisation, and booking of the holidays. You will be expected to contribute to the overall success of the business by delivering sales and providing a high level of customer service.

The role:

  • Generate bookings to enable the Worldwide business to achieve its sales, revenue and margin targets.
  • Develop a full understanding of the Worldwide product, to be able to confidently advise and recommend customers of their holiday choices.
  • Provide an exceptional end-to-end service experience to customers, remaining as the key point of contact from initial enquiry, booking and payment, to making the necessary travel, hotel and transfer arrangements for their holiday, including pre & post departure travel plans.
  • Ensure all bookings and customer details are accurately recorded in the TMS reservation system and that the appropriate booking documentation is sent to the customers in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the administration of Worldwide bookings, including liaising with suppliers to make and confirm bookings, preparing holiday documentation, plus, dealing with travel amendments from suppliers and/or customers.
  • Assist and escalate, when necessary, the handling of customer complaints (written and by telephone) to achieve a positive resolution.
  • Liaise with suppliers and representatives as required, establishing good relationships and cooperative communications, to ensure all holidays operate seamlessly.
  • Attend travel shows to promote the Worldwide holidays product.
  • Assist with other areas of the business as and when required, on an ad-hoc basis. For example, but not limited to, proofreading brochure copy and supporting with website content.

This person:

  • Strong sales skills to convert enquiries into bookings.
  • Experience in Travel sales.
  • Strong people skills - polite, friendly and a team player.
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills with experience of customer care / complaint handling and resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus, excellent numeric ability.
  • Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic for travel and working in the travel industry. The role will be exposed to all aspects of the business, with the potential for career development.
  • Highly organised.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal with a range of tasks with conflicting priorities.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with a flexible attitude and desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, adapting to new systems and procedures as required.
  • Able to work on your own initiative.

The Package:

  • A salary of circa £30,000
  • Hybrid working (1 day in the office, 4 from home - following 2 weeks office based training)
  • Monday - Friday working hours (9 - 5pm)
