Our client is looking for a tenacious Senior Bid Writer to join their small bid writing team.

Role Purpose

  • You will work closely with the Business Development Manager and Bid Writing Team ensuring that timely and high quality written tender responses are submitted in line with selected opportunities
  • To take responsibility for reviewing tender alert sites and identifying and logging opportunities, for review by the Business Development Manager and Managing Director

Key Responsibilities – Role

  • Writing high quality tender submissions which win new business for the company, as directed by the Business Development Manager. Delivers new revenue to the business to an agreed level
  • Sourcing opportunities from portals, framework completions and inbound leads, completing

RFI’s / PQQ’s

  • Ensure relevant Go / No-Go assessment processes are followed for potential opportunities
  • Develop and maintain solid business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, working proactively with the business to gather information to produce written tender responses
  • Work closely with and coordinate input from the relevant Consultants for solutions development and innovation
  • Participate in wash up reviews for all proposals submitted
  • Undertake thorough research on potential clients to enable shaping of bespoke tender responses and contribute to developing strategies and unique selling points for individual bids through developing an understanding of each client’s requirements
  • Review and proof reading of tender responses to ensure it meets the client’s stated objectives. Ensure compliance with tender submission instructions and deadlines, as well as internal processes and procedures, including bid planning documents to rigorously address all response requirements
  • Manage post tender clarifications in line with stated timescales

Essential Core Skills and Experience

  • Bid writing and tender management experience, ideally with a focus in consultancy services or professional services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate equally well verbally and in writing, with people at all levels
  • Highly IT proficient in using Word and Excel on a day-to-day basis, with a proven ability to produce high quality tender submissions
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Participate in project meeting discussions, with the ability to positively contribute to meetings
  • To work collaboratively with all areas of the business in support of  their aims and objectives
  • Manage individual workload, seeking support from colleagues where necessary, ensuring a high level of quality and client satisfaction is maintained

  • You will have a ‘hunter mentality’ to improve and question to produce ‘the best’ outcome for the business and its strategic growth
