Embedded Linux Engineer - Cranfield, UK- 60K -70K
Hexwired Recruitment is collaborating with a swiftly growing Electronics manufacturer, who are hiring for a highly skilled Embedded Linux Engineer with expertise in digital electronics, embedded systems, and IoT technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technical management and extensive experience with 4G/5G, Bitbake, Bootloader, Buildroot, device drivers, and firmware development. You will take responsibility for developing reliable firmware components for their products in a Linux development environment.
Responsibilities as an Embedded Linux Engineer
- Designing and developing embedded Linux systems for IoT and wireless communication applications
- Managing the software development process and overseeing technical aspects of projects
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement system requirements and specifications
- Performing system-level debugging and troubleshooting
- Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members
Qualifications needed as an Embedded Linux Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience in embedded C/C++ programming and embedded Linux development
- Strong knowledge of digital electronics, 4G/5G, and IoT wireless communication protocols
- Familiarity with Bitbake, Bootloader, Buildroot, and device driver development
