My client is looking to appoint an experienced Air Import Operator to add to their team based in London, Heathrow. With 120 locations across 30 countries worldwide, you will truly be part of a multi-national leading Freight Forwarding organisation.

If you are an experienced freight professional with operational knowledge dealing with Air Freight Import operations, and wish to be a part of a friendly and dynamic team then we want to hear from you.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an individual who is competent in:

  • Air Freight Import operations including customs entries
  • Taking bookings
  • Liaising directly with customers, airlines and carriers
  • Submitting and following up quotations
  • Arranging collections and deliveries and liaising with our overseas partners to ensure that the department offers a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Providing appropriate
  • Accurate information and demonstrating a professional helpful and positive manner
  • Taking responsibility to ensure that work passed onto others is of a high quality
  • To authorise and check quotations issued by other departments and offer advice and guidance on quotations to the operations team
  • To ensure that profits are maximised
  • To demonstrate an understanding of Customs requirements
  • Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods rules
  • Ensuring that all controls
  • Formalities and procedures are implemented both pre and post shipment
  • To support any operational requirements in line with qualifications gained and training received
  • To ensure that all documentation, records and systems are accurate and kept up to date
