Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for an Aircraft Material Supplier at Heathrow Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for entry-level candidates looking to launch their career in Aviation.

As an Aircraft Material Supplier, you will be key in keeping the British Airways fleet in the sky. In this role, it will be your responsibility to ensure the receipt, storage and distribution of aircraft materials and tooling meet the operational and maintenance requirements in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Transact aircraft materials and tools by the current technical procedures and processes.
  • Deliver, move and distribute materials/tools to meet the operation's needs.
  • Ensure good storekeeping practices and quality standards are maintained at a high level at all times.
  • Responsible for compliance with health & safety, environment and quality legislation.
  • Maintain stock accuracy via a cyclic audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Provide expertise about Dangerous Goods & Road Transportation regulations (where relevant IATA/ADR course certification/knowledge is held).
  • Receipt aircraft materials into British Airways Engineering by the privileges granted under the approval of being an MIA stamp holder (in circumstances deemed to be required by the business and an individual holding an MIA stamp).
  • Exercise personal responsibility and reasonable care in preventing harm to yourself and others

Shift Patterns

On average 40 hours a week.

Days: 06:45 am -06:45 pm, 4 on /4 off 

Nights: 06:45 pm- 06:45 am 4 on/ 4 off 

 

Salary

  Basic salary: £26,138

  Weekly Shift Pay - Days - £85.66

  Weekly Shift Pay - Nights - £189.57

Person Specification

  • A full UK, manual driving license with no more than 3 points (desirable)
  • Although full training is provided, previous manual handling and teamwork experience is desirable
  • Have a zero-tolerance approach to security
  • Good attention to detail and a meticulous approach to your work
  • Must be hardworking and reliable with an excellent work ethic
  • Have no unspent criminal convictions - If you are successful at the interview, you will be required to apply for a Criminal Record Check
  • Counter Balance Forklift licence (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Dangerous goods

Requirements

  • Due to the location of work being at the airport, you must qualify. Therefore, you will need to be able to provide the following information:
  • 5-year checkable history (employment, self-employment, education or benefit claim)
  • 5-year UK address history
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (UK Passport, EU Passport, Non-EU Passport & Visa, Biometric Residence Permit, UK Birth Certificate & (and British citizens only)
  • Provide proof of National Insurance
  • Provide proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement, HMRC Letter)

Successful candidates will be required to pass driver medical and driving assessment
