Surface Mount Technician
Location: Cranleigh | 28,000 - 35,000 per annum
Full-Time | Permanent | Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Actio Recruitment is assisting our electronics manufacturing client in Cranleigh with their search for a Surface Mount Technician to join their growing team.
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive team player to join a busy Surface Mount (SMT) department. The ideal candidate will have experience operating SMT equipment in an electronics production environment and be keen to learn and adapt.
Key Requirements:
- Strong understanding of SMT machinery operations (Yamaha i-Pulse an advantage)
- Experience with profiling, solder reflow, and vapour phase machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work with micro-electronic components
- Knowledge of ESD compliance and MSL storage requirements
- Familiarity with IPC Standards and workmanship requirements
- Proficiency in Windows and Excel
- Strong analytical and communication skills for recording and conveying technical information
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
Experience in using X-Ray equipment and interpreting X-Ray images would be a distinct advantage.
