Salary: £35,000 to £41,000 per annum, depending on experience + Bonus + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am till 4:00pm (some flexibility - if you wanted to start earlier and finish earlier)
Location:Commutable from Guildford, Crawley, Horsham, Leatherhead, Dorking, Epsom, Farnham and surrounding areas
This is a varied role, covering stock control and maintenance planning, working for an established company who operate within the manufacturing field.
Responsibilities
This role is varied and will include Stores, Maintenance Planning and some Purchasing work, within this large manufacturing company.
Planning routine maintenance tasks and control of the site engineering stores facilities.
Effectively manage the designated stores in terms of the stock levels and housekeeping.
Collaborate with Production and Engineering Managers to plan and purchase all stores stock and equipment required. This could be for planned shutdowns, planned maintenance, refurbishment work or project work.
Communicate with suppliers, place orders and manage inventory.
Control spending to agreed budgetary levels
Using various IT systems to plan work and orders.
Safe unloading of supplies and equipment.
Keep up to date with data, prices and trade terms.
Negotiate the deliveries.
Report on engineering spend to the Engineering Manager.
Support the engineering team in its flow of supplies required, ensure minimal disruption of work and continued productivity.
Think outside the box and offer ideas on how things could be improved.
Inspect delivered goods and raise queries with suppliers where required.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is either in stores/stock control or a maintenance planner, or someone who has done both. Either way, support and training will be provided on the opposite side you are not familiar with.
Stock control / stores experience
Experience of using a computerised stores / stock control system such as SAP
Computer literate able to use suite of Microsoft applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience of working in a Stores Environment, preferable within an Engineering or Manufacturing company
Team player who enjoys a variety of work
