Office and Compliance Manager

We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in a regulated financial services or insurance cover holder business, possessing a solid understanding of Compliance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, ready to take on diverse responsibilities, and contribute to shaping and executing the company’s business strategy as part of a focused senior management team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Liaison: Work closely with external Compliance function to monitor compliance procedures, conduct monthly attestations, and support audit processes.
  • Llyod’s Binder Administration: Maintain ongoing communication with the underwriter.
  • IT Management: Oversee systems including BACS, LAN, and the company’s administration database with IT provider.
  • Claims Administration: Serve as the liaison between policyholders, brokers, and underwriters.
  • Human Resources: Manage training, appraisals, and various HR policies.
  • Customer Communication: Oversee annual customer mailings, coordinate with printers, and secure regulatory approvals.
  • General Office Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations and staff management.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Proven experience in compliance, administration, and operations at a management level
  • Desirable background within an FCA and/or highly regulated environments.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (or similar software) and data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Deep understanding of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
