We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aspiring Prison Officer Teaching Assistant in Cranleigh to join a supportive and dynamic team at a well-established school. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children with varying needs and will work closely with teaching staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment in a school in Cranleigh.

Key Responsibilities of an Aspiring Prison Officer Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs and complex behaviour in Cranleigh.
  • Assist with education and training and the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and fostering independence.
  • Help to create and maintain a safe, engaging, and positive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, contributing to assessments and reviews.
Key Requirements of an Aspiring Prison Officer Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a SEN setting.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional learning needs, including autism, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to challenging situations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN (such as an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
