Position Details:

Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant, your primary goal will be to support students in their learning and well-being, providing a safe and nurturing environment. Your responsibilities may also include caring for individual needs and managing behaviour positively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop warm, caring, and supportive relationships with students to create a safe learning environment.
  • Encourage independence and personal growth while maintaining high behaviour standards.
  • Assist in delivering high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities.
  • Support the Class Teacher in the daily operations of the classroom.
  • Adapt to the changing needs of the school to ensure smooth operations.
  • Promote students' cognitive, social, emotional, physical development, and spiritual well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multi-professional team.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately under guidance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential: GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience or knowledge of working with SEN students.
  • Passion for putting the child first and recognising their individuality.
  • Positive and creative approach to meeting students' needs.
  • Desirable: L3 award in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent.
  • Desirable: At least one year of experience as a L2 qualified or equivalent TA.
