Milk Foundation is looking to recruit a SEN special education needs teaching assistant. We are working alongside an excellent school in Cranleigh.

This is a brilliant  opportunity for anybody wanting to build their experience working alongside special needs pupils. 

Preffered experience: 

  • Trained and experienced working with children with ADHD and/ or SEMH.
  • Behavior management experience: Experience using positive behavior management strategies and de-escalation techniques to support students with challenging behavior.
  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students, even those who may be initially disengaged or resistant to authority
  • Prior experience in alternative education settings: Experience in PRUs, special educational needs (SEN) schools, or working with children with behavioral, emotional, or social difficulties (BESD) is highly valuable.

Your role within this job opportunity will be to assist with:

-          Supporting children with challenging behaviours.

-          Assisting the class teacher.

-          Working on a 1-1 basis or in small groups with the children.

-          Provide high quality support as well as a posistive attitude to the work place.
