Your Role:
  • Teaching and Support: Follow individualised curriculum's, plan and deliver lessons focusing on communication and life skills.
  • Behavioural Support: Apply theory-based interventions to enhance the quality of life for their pupils.
  • Personal Care: Encourage and support pupils in maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Progress Monitoring: Ensure teaching methods are effective and appropriate for each child's needs.
  • Additional Duties: Assist with break time supervision and support activities like playground and snack time.

Training and Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degrees: Pursue a Master's in High Incidence & Disabilities worth up to £13,000.
  • Regular Training: Ongoing training in Safeguarding, Emergency Medication, Behaviour Management, Personal Care, Autism, and more.

  • Experience: Professional, personal, or voluntary experience working with children and disabilities.
  • Qualifications: Minimum Grade C/4 GCSE in English Language & Maths or equivalent.
  • Skills: Comfortable working with children who exhibit challenging behaviour and providing personal/intimate care when needed.
  • Composure: Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
