I am partnering with a fantastic, rewarding organisation, based in Crawley who recruiting a part time Finance Officer to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract, taking on a varied role, where no two days are the same. This opportunity could lead to longer term, permanent opportunities due to the size of the organisations.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Treasury and Cash management
  • Completion of daily cash allocation and bank reconciliation
  • Raise sales invoices and credit notes and cash cheques
  • Ensure all income is receipted and banked promptly
  • Assist in the management of purchase order processing, including raising and matching
  • To support budget holders to code and forward invoices for payment authorisation in a timely manner, liaising with other members of the Finance Team
  • Supporting the development of cash flow forecast
  • Input of financial ledger , journals, to the computerised General Ledger systems in accordance with timetables and procedures
  • Ensure appropriate accounting, analysis and other codes are used for journals and that these have the correct debit and credit entries
  • Completion of Month End Creditors data, analysis and reports
  • Support the preparation of consolidated statements, statutory accounts, associated notes and working papers ahead of deadlines
  • Assist with the provision of complex financial information to the Internal Auditors to assist with periodic reviews required by client organisations
  • Ensuring external audit and submissions are completed ahead of deadlines and providing regular updates / reports to forums and senior management
  • To be the main point of contact for finance queries
  • Take ownership of escalated issues, handling until acceptable resolution is achieved and escalating when necessary
