Reed Finance are currently partnered with an established client in the West Sussex area who are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage their Polish financial affairs, which are currently handled by external accountants. This role involves bringing these responsibilities back in-house, ensuring compliance with all legal and financial obligations in Poland. The ideal candidate will have experience in Polish tax systems and will transition into other areas of the business, making prior UK experience beneficial.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations related to their branch in Poland, ensuring compliance with local VAT, income tax, and other tax returns.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Polish accounting standards and legal requirements, leveraging current contacts or establishing new connections as necessary.
- Once Polish financial affairs are stabilised, the role will require managing these responsibilities for approximately 2 days per week, with the remaining time dedicated to other financial areas within their UK operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in a Polish auditing/accounting office within the last 3 years.
- Strong understanding of Polish tax laws and accounting practices.
- Ability to manage multiple financial tasks and remain compliant with all legal and financial obligations in Poland.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable: Experience with UK financial practices to aid transition into broader roles within the company.
