Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Finance Manager in managing day-to-day accounting operations.
- Processing invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconciling bank statements and handling discrepancies.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports.
- Handling queries related to accounts and providing customer support where necessary.
- Supporting with VAT returns and other tax-related tasks.
- Assisting with payroll processing as required.
- General administrative support to the finance team.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero).
- Excellent MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- AAT qualification (or working towards) is preferred but not essential
