First Aider required for School in Crawley

At Engage Education Services, we’re currently recruiting for a First Aider for a fantastic school in Crawley.

Our Engage Education Services team specialise in the placement of non-classroom-based staff including Administrators, HR, Finance and Facilities.

About the role:

Duties involve providing immediate assistance to injured or ill individuals, maintaining first aid kits, and ensuring the safety of the school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the situation quickly and calmly to understand what happened and the nature of the injury/illness.
  • Protecting yourself and others from any danger.
  • Preventing infection.
  • Ensuring first aid kits and equipment are well-stocked and accessible.
  • Regularly checking the contents of the kit for expiry dates and replacing items as needed.
  • Understanding the specific needs of children and young people.
  • Being aware of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
  • Knowing the school's policies and procedures for dealing with emergencies.
  • Being able to identify and respond to medical emergencies, such as asthma attacks, seizures, or allergic reactions.

About you:

  • Experience working within a school environment

  • A valid DBS on the DBS update service

  • Be available to interview and start immediately
