Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a strong understanding of electrical principles and surge protection installation methods.
  • Have extensive experience with single and three-phase electrical installations.
  • Perform electrical installations on various types of low voltage (LV) systems.
  • Assess and procure necessary parts and equipment for individual tasks.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Supervisor regarding planned and routine maintenance programs and reporting procedures.
  • Adhere to recognized industry standards at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, ensuring that required paperwork is submitted within defined timescales.
  • Participate in flexible working hours, which may occasionally involve staying away from home, weekend work, and travel outside the home area.
  • Undertake necessary training to perform job duties effectively, including health and safety courses and ongoing professional development to maintain current knowledge and qualifications.
  • Act independently and take initiative as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation.
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
  • NVQ Level 3.
  • 18th Edition certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and reporting software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, depending on location).
