Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a strong understanding of electrical principles and surge protection installation methods.
- Have extensive experience with single and three-phase electrical installations.
- Perform electrical installations on various types of low voltage (LV) systems.
- Assess and procure necessary parts and equipment for individual tasks.
- Coordinate with the Operations Supervisor regarding planned and routine maintenance programs and reporting procedures.
- Adhere to recognized industry standards at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, ensuring that required paperwork is submitted within defined timescales.
- Participate in flexible working hours, which may occasionally involve staying away from home, weekend work, and travel outside the home area.
- Undertake necessary training to perform job duties effectively, including health and safety courses and ongoing professional development to maintain current knowledge and qualifications.
- Act independently and take initiative as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
- NVQ Level 3.
- 18th Edition certification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and reporting software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, depending on location).
