Technical & Quality Control Specialist

Monday - Friday 

8 am - 5 pm 

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum 

I am seeking a dedicated Technical & Quality Control Specialist for a luxury manufacturer based in Crawley. This role is to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves performing product tests, documenting findings, and providing technical support and training to the team. The goal is to drive continuous product and process improvements while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Control & Assurance

    • Conduct detailed inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process products, and final outputs to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Develop and implement quality control systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor and report on quality metrics (defect rates, process capabilities, yield improvements).
  2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

    • Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve product or process issues.
    • Collaborate with supply chain to address technical challenges, contribute to product design improvements, and offer feedback for manufacturability.
  3. Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality metrics for review and audit purposes.
    • Prepare quality reports, highlighting any issues, trends, and recommended corrective actions.
    • Ensure that all quality control documentation complies with company standards and industry best practices.
    • Ensure that all spares’ diagrams are accurate and support in the preparation of them.
  4. Continuous Improvement & Training

    • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventative action (CAPA) processes to address and mitigate quality issues.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
    • Provide training to production staff on QC protocols, safety standards, and best practices to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
  5. Compliance & Safety

    • Ensure that all quality control processes and production practices comply with regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness for external quality audits.
    • Maintain and promote a culture of safety within the production environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

This position would be suitable for someone with experience in a quality control or technical role, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or a similar technical field. Demonstrated experience with quality control methodologies and statistical process control (SPC).
