The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Crawley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.
Hours: Afters or nights across Monday to Sunday - up to 5/6 shifts a week (weekends included) on a rota basis.
Afters start from 3pm and night shifts start between 10pm and 1am (10 hour shifts max).
Pay Rate:
Afters- 拢15.94 per hour PAYE
Nights - 拢16.56 per hour PAYE, rising to 拢17.31 after 12 weeks
Location: Crawley, RH10
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
路 Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
路 Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
路 Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
路 Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
路 Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
路 Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
路 No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
路 Full understanding of WTD legislation.
路 Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
路 Excellent communication skills.
路 A safety-first mindset.
