Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer
Do you enjoy working with a down to earth, supportive team but at the same time be relied on to use your own initiative to find solutions to problem out in the field? Our Field teams are critical in the delivery of our contracts, whether that is delivering or supervising maintenance, installation, cabling or civils works. Help build and keep the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.
If successful in this role, you will learn to install traffic signals, including the installation of ancillary and associated equipment and highways systems.
What you'll do:
- Help to support the Traffic Installations team to achieve KPIs and service delivery requirements.
- Carry out installation of Traffic and associated signal equipment.
- Install cables and joints.
- Assist with carry out testing of signal equipment.
- Wire cables at top caps and controllers to an agreed specification.
- Carry out on site risk assessments and follow method statements.
- Work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adhere to quality guidelines.
Who you are:
A great opportunity if you enjoy working outdoors, are a practical person or if have some basic electrical knowledge or equivalent experience within electrical engineering, this could be the first step in starting your career within Traffic Signals at telent.
Key Requirements:
- Have some basic electrical knowledge or equivalent experience in electrical engineering
- General IT skills
- Ability to learn and work well within a team.
- Actively seeks development to progress within the programme beyond the role of Trainee
- Full UK Driving Licence
