Full time | Permanent | Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days at home)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to manage the credit control function for our clients UK, Spanish, and Dutch entities. You will be responsible for maintaining customer credit accounts, ensuring timely payments, and mitigating risk while fostering strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the sales ledger and customer credit accounts, ensuring payments align with agreed terms
- Assign credit terms to new customers within company policy guidelines
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure prompt payments
- Manage the customer stop-list, working with the Sales team to balance risk and sales opportunities
- Process and reconcile receipts from UK, Spain, and the Netherlands
- Carry out month-end closure procedures
- Process credit card payments in compliance with data protection regulations
- Handle customer correspondence related to invoicing, statements, and payment requests
- Provide additional administrative support to the Finance team as required
Requirements:
- Computer literate with experience in Sage Line 500, SAP (ByD), and Microsoft Apps (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player, fostering a positive work environment with the ability to also work independently
- Proactive in recommending improvements to processes
- Effective communicator, both internally and externally, maintaining a professional approach
