An enterprising 2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer is urgently required by my client with significant experience of Supporting Microsoft/Windows based infrastructure. Strong experience of managing and maintaining IT Infrastructure environments, whilst being proactive in upgrading environments, whilst also supporting end users will be needed. This role will be supporting multiple sites, and as such, some travel, along with on call support will be required.

2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

- Assist the Senior Infrastructure Engineers with all levels of IT Infrastructure monitoring, end user support, and generally helping to improve the IT infrastructure environment for my client.

- Daily end user support for all levels of the Infrastructure environment along with the associated software, resolving issues in a timely manner

- Install, configure, test, maintain and support end user workstations and associated hardware/software

- Interacting with all manner of end users on a day to day basis, maintain strong relationships across the business

2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer Skills and Experience:

- 3+ years experience of working within a hands-on/technical IT Infrastructure support role within a 2nd line level or higher

- Experience of working within an ITIL environment

- Experience of supporting Windows based infrastructure environments, support Servers, networks, Active Directory, Office/Office 365 etc

- A broad understanding of IT security would be beneficial

This is both a reactive, and proactive role, which will entail day to day end user support, along with getting involved in new IT projects. This role will offer an excellent opportunity to learn from more experience IT Infrastructure Engineers.
