**Job Title**: Electronics Engineer - Power Supply Specialist (Defence Sector)

**Job Summary**:
My client is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team and contribute to the designing and development of custom power supplies for defence applications. As a specialist in power electronics, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of power supply units tailored to meet the stringent requirements of defense equipment. You will provide supervision and technical guidance within your field, as well as collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the highest standards of reliability and performance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom power supply systems suitable for various applications.
- Provide expert-level supervision of power electronics projects, ensuring technical excellence and conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and SMEs, to integrate power supplies into complex systems.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of power systems to meet the high-reliability demands of the defense sector.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues related to power systems, extending to both hardware and firmware aspects.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, testing procedures, and user manuals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in power electronics to ensure state-of-the-art solutions
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure projects meet all milestones and financial targets.
- Provide mentorship and technical training to junior staff and team members.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in designing and developing power supply units, ideally for defense or similar high-reliability sectors.
- Strong understanding of power electronics principles, components, and design methodologies.
- Proficient in the use of electronics design and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, Altium Designer, or similar).
- Experience with MIL-STD and other defence sector standards for electronics is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently or in a team, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Must be eligible for security clearance
