Our client, a market leading commercial services company, is currently recruiting an Assistant Finance Manager to join their Accounting Department. The Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for assisting in overseeing the financial operations for our UK business and Irish Subsidy.

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Finance Manager:

  • Execute and, when required, supervise sales and purchase ledger processes, ensuring accurate invoicing and reconciliations
  • Manage supplier payments, credit control, VAT returns, and prepayment processes
  • Oversee and participate in bank transactions, payroll reconciliations, and intercompany accounting
  • Assist with quarterly reviews, corporation tax payments, and HMRC obligations, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations
  • Assist in overseeing credit control operations to maintain healthy cash flow.

Skills Required for the Assistant Finance Manager:

  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency and experience in using Microsoft Suite and Sage Line 50, with experience and confidence managing transactions in multiple currencies.
