Reed Finance are currently supporting an established client in the West Sussex area in the recruitment of a Finance Director to oversee the operation of their International Finance Team & Functions. This role involves overall responsibility for the preparation and accuracy of monthly accounting and financial statements, budgets/forecasts, annual accounts, audits, and the development and improvement of accounting systems and processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Ensure the integrity of company controls and that balance sheet accounts are accurate and properly supported with adequate documentation.
- Manage tax compliance for all international legal entities.
- Manage cash flows and international treasury functions, in conjunction with Group treasury.
- Make recommendations concerning business operations to improve performance.
- Review trends in financial performance of the business that may require management action and alert relevant director/manager.
- Strategic planning with Senior Leadership Team, delivering financial strategies to support growth and operational objectives.
- Supervise Financial Controller in the production of monthly accounting.
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
- Ongoing development of new ERP system and effective roll out.
- Oversee tax filings for all international jurisdictions.
- Complete audits and annual accounts on a timely basis.
- Control of expenditure within agreed budgets.
- Participate in special projects
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA.
- An eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems - MS Dynamics is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt and think outside of the usual finance role.
