Reed Accountancy are seeking an Interim Finance Manager to join our team on a 3 - 6 month fixed-term contract. The role is based in the Crawley area, requiring at least two days of work from our Crawley office. This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, highly organised, and proficient in managing financial and accounting tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:- Compile journals for labour distribution, accruals, pre-payments, and fixed assets for end-of-month reports.
- Assist in producing monthly management accounts and support the Financial Controller with external payroll.
- Prepare, reconcile, and submit quarterly VAT and EU Sales List returns, along with other regulatory submissions.
- Manage timesheets in Replicon, adjusting for staff changes and project updates.
- Review and authorise bank payments, cover for the Financial Controller during absences, and handle various accounting tasks including invoice preparation and accounts payable.
- Perform bank reconciliations, manage clinical trial agreements, track payments, and handle international bank transfers.
- Accounting qualification is desirable, or qualified by experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounts environment.
- Essential experience with Sage 50.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficient in Word and various accounting and payroll packages.
