Role Overview:

We are looking for a Level 4 qualified financial adviser who can bring their own clients or has a clear plan to build up a £20 million Funds Under Management (FUM) portfolio within 18 months. This self-employed role offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule, with strong fee income potential based on the clients you bring on board and the fees you generate.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with high-net-worth individuals and businesses, with a demonstrated ability to grow and maintain a profitable client portfolio. This role is perfect for someone who is entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and looking for an opportunity to shape their own financial future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Build and nurture a client base through referrals, networking, and your own prospecting efforts.
  • Wealth Management & Financial Planning: Provide comprehensive financial advice to clients, including retirement planning, investment strategy, tax efficiency, and estate planning.
  • Client Retention & Ongoing Service: Establish long-term relationships with clients through regular reviews, ensuring that their financial strategies evolve as their needs change.
  • Compliance & Record-Keeping: Ensure all client interactions and advice are fully compliant with FCA regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and meetings.
  • Revenue Growth: Achieve a minimum of £20 million FUM within 18 months, with clear progress toward this target through ongoing client acquisition and portfolio management.
Fee Splits & Income Structure:
  • Starting Fee Split: 70% to the adviser, 30% to the firm.
  • Performance-Based Increase: The adviser will move to an 80% fee split once £20 million in FUM is achieved.
  • Ongoing Income Potential: Continue to earn a competitive share of fees based on the assets under management and the quality of service provided.
Support Provided:
  • Admin Support: Comprehensive administrative support to handle client communications, appointment scheduling, and paperwork, freeing up your time to focus on client relationships and business growth.
  • Paraplanning Support: Dedicated paraplanning support for research, report preparation, and compliance documentation, ensuring you can deliver high-quality advice without being bogged down in back-office tasks.
  • Compliance Framework: Access to robust compliance systems and infrastructure to ensure all regulatory requirements are met, reducing the administrative burden on you.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Level 4 Qualification: The candidate must hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience: A proven track record in financial advice, including experience with managing investment portfolios, pensions, and comprehensive financial planning. Experience with high-net-worth clients or an existing client base is highly desirable.
  • Business Development: Proven ability to generate leads and build long-term client relationships. A clear and actionable plan to reach £20 million FUM within 18 months is essential.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients and explain complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Self-Motivated & Entrepreneurial: Ability to manage your own business and drive your own success, with a focus on generating new clients and servicing existing ones.
