Trainee Paraplanner – Financial Planning | Up to £34,000 + Hybrid Working + Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join a leading Financial Planning team as a Trainee Paraplanner.

Salary: up to £34,000 per year

This is the ideal role for someone with experience working in a Financial Planning environment who is now looking to advance their technical knowledge and build a long-term career in Paraplanning. Full training and professional development are provided, offering a clear pathway to becoming a qualified Paraplanner while working alongside experienced Financial Planners and Client Support Managers.

The Trainee Paraplanner will support the delivery of high-quality financial advice to high-net-worth clients by assisting in the following areas:

  • Client Analysis – Gathering and analysing client information, building cashflow models, and identifying client needs.
  • Financial Planning Solutions – Supporting the creation of tailored recommendations across investments, pensions, tax, and estate planning.
  • Report Writing – Assisting in the preparation of detailed financial reports and recommendation letters.
  • Client Reviews – Preparing annual review packs, updating cashflow models, and analysing investment performance.
  • Client Communication – Liaising with clients via email, phone, and in meetings to provide updates and ongoing support.
  • Administrative Coordination – Working with the wider team to ensure smooth processing of applications and paperwork.
  • Professional Collaboration – Engaging with third-party professionals, such as solicitors and accountants, to deliver joined-up financial strategies.

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Financial Planning or Wealth Management firm
  • Understanding of the financial planning process
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
  • High attention to detail, particularly in report writing and data management
  • Eagerness to develop technical knowledge and progress within the profession
