Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Coordinator with 1-2 years of experience in sea, road, or air freight operations. As a Freight Coordinator you will be responsible for managing and coordinating shipments, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining strong communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams. This role requires strong organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail to support our logistics operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage freight shipments across sea, road, and air transport modes.
  • Ensure timely booking and scheduling of shipments with carriers and vendors.
  • Prepare and process necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and invoices.
  • Track and monitor shipments, providing updates to clients and resolving any transit-related issues.
  • Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Manage customer inquiries and provide prompt and professional solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Assist in negotiating freight rates with carriers and vendors to optimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other logistics data.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to coordinate loading, unloading, and storage of cargo.
  • Identify potential issues in the supply chain and propose effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Hands-on experience in coordinating sea, road, or air freight shipments.
  • Knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and freight documentation.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in using freight management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle shipment delays and disruptions.
  • Understanding of Incoterms and freight rate structures is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
