This position offers the opportunity to engage with customers both over the phone and on the sales floor, ensuring exceptional service and support are provided seamlessly.

  • Build strong relationships with customers by assisting them at the counter and through phone interactions.
  • Efficiently process, pull, and distribute customer products to meet their needs promptly.
  • Assess and identify customer requirements regarding merchandise, providing tailored product recommendations based on quality, type, and make.
  • Suggest alternative products based on pricing, availability, or specific customer needs.
  • Make follow-up calls to existing and potential customers to explore additional business opportunities.
  • Communicate pricing, credit structures, and terms that align with standard protocols while enhancing customers' profitability.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and stock checks via telephone with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Accurately manage data entry for sales orders, quotes, and inventory tracking, ensuring timely updates from vendors about shipment dates and expected deliveries.
  • Maintain well-organised product displays on the sales floor, facilitating easy access for customers.
  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives to stay informed about account activities and customer interests.
  • Proactively suggest products that enhance customer satisfaction while aiming to improve transaction profitability.
  • Employ cross-selling, up-selling, and promotional techniques to increase sales and average order size.
  • Provide customers with information on product terminology, features, and benefits to boost sales and enhance satisfaction.
  • Undertake various administrative tasks, including literature filing, call list creation, and invoicing, while performing product demonstrations upon request.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to responding quickly to customer needs while managing challenging situations effectively.
  • Excellent communication abilities, encompassing verbal and written skills, with a talent for active listening and negotiation.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing issues with timely and effective solutions.
  • A professional demeanour, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult customer interactions diplomatically.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in tasks performed while increasing productivity in call volume and sales metrics.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work with diverse individuals effectively.
  • Technical expertise in company products, with familiarity in the Microsoft Office suite and a willingness to learn internal systems such as Prelude and Cisco.
  • This is an office-based role with no travel required.
  • The position entails regularly standing and occasionally walking to facilitate customer interactions.
