7.5 Tonne Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver for one of our clients based in Crawley. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to all road safety regulations. Deliveries will be based in London.

Location: Crawley

Salary: 28,000 per year + overtime

Hours: Monday 07:00am to 16:00pm + Overtime

Responsibilities

• Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the transportation of goods.
• Ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods, including operating flatbed equipment when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
• Experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
• CPC & Digital tacho required
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• A good understanding of customer service principles.
